Believe it or not, but this modern, cutting edge big band started as a military orchestra in the 19:th century.

Promoted and supervised by Musik i Väst from the late 1980’s to the early years of the new millennium, Bohuslän Big Band evolved dramatically into a unique jazz ensemble earning international respect.

But as Musik i Västs priorities and mission continue to evolve and change, the time has come to let BBB continue in a new environment. Musik i Väst is therefore proud to present this fine ensemble to Vara Konserthus (Vara Concert Hall), BBB’s employer and promoter as of January 1, 2004.
